The mission of the James E. Richmond Science Center is to inspire and stimulate an appreciation of science and its interrelationship with all other disciplines. We exist to serve and enrich the entire student population of Charles County, as well as the greater Southern Maryland community. We accomplish our goals by creating exciting and memorable experiences that are multi-disciplinary in focus and incorporate our hands-on Discovery Lab, NOAA Science on a Sphere content, and the Digital Dome Planetarium Classroom.
