Designed for middle school students, this camp combines science, engineering, and creativity as students build, test, and launch their own rockets. Through fun, interactive activities, students will explore the principles of aerodynamics, propulsion, and other physics concepts while working on real-world challenges. During RocketRise students will receive mentorship from Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head (NSWC IHD) personnel who are experts in rocketry, giving students an out of this world experience!

Junior Space Entrepreneur Program

The Junior Space Entrepreneur Program will better prepare today’s youth to obtain and fulfill positions within STEM-based companies by providing an immersive educational experience. JSEP places students in immersive scenarios that teach and enhance necessary 21st Century Essential Skills and connects those skills to real-world careers. In partnership with the Space Foundation.

Return to the Moon (1-Day)

Campers will journey Artemis II on its reason return to the Moon! Campers will setup a Moon colony and explore more about the recent and upcoming Artemis missions.

Campers will be immersed in space-themed literature adventure stations that will enhance their reading and writing skills that will culminate into campers creating their very own storybook.

Alan is a hamster scientist who lives in a dump yard. One day Alan hears a crash. In his garden he finds a crater and a damaged robot inside. How did he get here? Alan fixes the robot and finds out that he fell from a spaceship which is going to prepare Mars for colonization. But the ship leaves in three days! Campers will junk engineer several prototypes that could help Alan get the robot back to its spaceship.  At the end of the day campers will watch the movie and compare their solutions to the one Alan, the hamster scientist, chose.
